Software Developer
Talascend is currently seeking a Software Developer for a contract opportunity with our client in Washington, District Of Columbia.
Overview
This role involves writing and maintaining source code, creating and managing software applications, and applying frameworks throughout the software release cycle. The position requires expertise in programming languages and the ability to develop technical solutions independently to impact operational results and project deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Write, test, and maintain source code for software applications
- Document software development processes and manage configuration
- Perform bug fixing and software testing to ensure quality
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop technical solutions
- Communicate effectively with internal and client project team members
- Review work and coach lower-level technical staff as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience
- Deep understanding of programming principles and frameworks
- Ability to develop solutions for complex technical problems
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software development lifecycle management tools
- Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks
