Talascend is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Washington, District Of Columbia.

Overview

This role involves performing software engineering functions, including design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products. The position requires applying principles, standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software requirements analysis and hardware compatibility assessment
  • Develop software products and tools for design, development, and infrastructure maintenance
  • Manage projects or processes spanning multiple technical areas with moderate impact
  • Develop solutions to complex technical issues affecting multiple disciplines
  • Communicate with internal team members and external parties, influencing project and process decisions

Qualifications

  • BS degree or higher, with 8-12 years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Expert knowledge of advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
