Talascend is currently seeking an Engineering Tech Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Warren, Michigan.

Overview

The engineering tech analyst provides technical support on various engineering projects, including inspecting hardware, obtaining blueprints, tracking project updates, and assisting engineering teams in overcoming project roadblocks.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain blueprints, math data, PDMs, and other graphical information with varying levels of direction.
  • Inspect and compare physical hardware to graphical information, noting discrepancies and potential root causes.
  • Extract specific data from databases, organize data by designated characteristics, and report in specified formats.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate technical reviews of issues, drawings, parts, and vehicles.
  • Document technical discussions, action plans, and assignments.
  • Monitor and report the status of projects and assignments.
  • Compile cost and performance comparison data.
  • Convert data into standard specification formats and documents.
  • Identify data, analysis methods, and report formats needed to present issues or solutions.
  • Participate in designing and implementing action plans.
  • Identify ways to improve the vehicle development process implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 8-10 years of experience required.
  • Ability to identify relevant drawings, layouts, and graphic illustrations to investigate issues and potential solutions.
  • Understanding of vehicle architecture and function, including packaging and dynamic interactions of components.
  • Experience in creating, filing, and retrieving information from electronic databases.
  • Strong knowledge of data processing techniques, methods, software, and applications to solve real problems.
  • Ability to develop work plans, including information retrieval, analysis methods, and report formatting.
  • Experience as auto mechanic or technician.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to utilize existing or new information and processes to resolve issues.
