Talascend is currently seeking a Materials Planning Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida.

Overview

This role involves managing materials planning processes within a manufacturing environment, focusing on inventory analysis, supply chain coordination, and ensuring the availability of materials to meet operational needs. The analyst will work cross-functionally to resolve supply issues and optimize material flow.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze material inventory position, shortages, and supply risks
  • Investigate and resolve material-related issues caused by supply disruptions
  • Monitor shortage reports, open demand, and past due materials
  • Coordinate daily with procurement, operations, engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams to understand and resolve material shortages
  • Escalate critical shortages with clear communication and recommended actions
  • Develop and maintain reports, trackers, and analysis to improve material visibility, shortage management, and operational decision making
  • Ensure execution of critical tasks to support shop performance and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in planning
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and SAP
  • Experience in manufacturing planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (namely Excel, Access, Power BI)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-year degree
  • Ability to work independently and take direction from others
  • Established skills and experience in materials management/planning
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy of work
  • Strong priority setting, sense of urgency, and timing skills
