Talascend is currently seeking a Project Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Warren, Michigan.
Overview
The role involves managing engineering-based projects, including project design, scope management, cost control, quality assurance, and performance reporting. The project engineer will coordinate activities, develop project plans, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing technical activities
- Develop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope
- Present proposals, reports, and findings to clients and stakeholders
- Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate staff working on projects
- Analyze technology, resources, and market demand to assess project feasibility
- Manage project resources, including procurement and staff development
- Collaborate with project teams to define business requirements
- Develop product rollout plans and procedures
- Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
- Ensure adherence to project management processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
- 8-10 years of relevant experience
- Proven project management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties through relevant experience, training, or education
Preferred Qualifications
- PMI or PMP certification
The shift is a first shift operation, starting at 7AM or 8AM and ending at 4PM, with overtime as needed (2-4 hours a week). The position offers the possibility of hybrid work, with three days in the office (Tuesday-Thursday).
