Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Program Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced senior engineering program manager to lead capital project planning, execution, and site improvement initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing and engineering environment. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional efforts, supporting new product integration, and driving strategic facility and equipment projects while ensuring alignment with site leadership objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of capital projects and site improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, HFC, and operations teams to identify and prioritize capital equipment requirements.
  • Support new product integration activities, facility moves, and site preparations for upcoming contracts and programs.
  • Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Conduct equipment sourcing, vendor evaluations, and pricing analysis based on engineering and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present project updates, cost analyses, and performance metrics to site leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to long-term operational and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading capital project planning and execution.
  • Experience with equipment specification, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of lean, six sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control experience.

This is a day shift position based in Phoenix, Arizona.
