Talascend is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Orange County, California.
Overview
This role involves developing, managing, and executing project plans for construction projects, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and meeting project schedules and budgets. The position requires onsite leadership on construction sites and serves as the main interface with subcontractors and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, milestones, and deliverables, including scope, budget, schedule, risk, and quality management.
- Ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, quality, and safety standards across projects.
- Provide regular project updates to teams and management, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
- Monitor construction progress through site visits and meetings, and conduct periodic inspections.
- Coordinate and lead project meetings, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety procedures.
- Build effective relationships with subcontractors and third parties to support project goals.
- Analyze project issues, propose solutions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience managing construction projects
- Experience with commercial, office, and industrial manufacturing projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work onsite daily in Orange County, CA
- Must be a US Person due to export compliance
- Experience in construction supervision and management of industrial facilities
- Strong analytical skills for assessing project schedules and issues
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
Preferred Qualifications
- P.E. License (desired)
- Aerospace manufacturing construction experience
- Project Management Professional certification (preferred)
- Experience with transformational manufacturing projects or complex launches
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective remote and onsite communication
The shift for this position is 1st shift, from 7 am to 4 pm.
