Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Overview
This role involves performing preventive, routine, and reactive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment, including CNC machinery, electrical and mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure, primarily on third and second shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform predictive, preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance on production equipment.
- Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot CNC machines.
- Repair, assemble, and install electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Calibrate process control equipment and instrumentation.
- Rebuild, install, and make field repairs on centrifugal and diaphragm pumps.
- Maintain motor starters, variable frequency drives, and servo controls.
- Install piping, conduit, and raceway systems.
- Perform facilities and building maintenance.
- Document work activities using CMM.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or trade school certification in a technical field with a minimum of 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of maintenance experience.
- Ability to work off shift (3rd shift 10pm - 6am).
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Ability and willingness to qualify for and utilize specialized personal protective equipment, including arc flash and fall protection.
- Ability and willingness to obey all safety rules, including wearing personal protective equipment such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection in designated areas.
