Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Austin, Texas.
Overview
The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple projects within office, manufacturing, and laboratory environments across the Austin market, supporting client needs with a focus on schedule, budget, and quality standards. The role involves managing diverse projects and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage 2–3 active projects concurrently in the Austin market, spanning office, manufacturing, and laboratory space types.
- Oversee project delivery involving hazardous materials, H-occupancy code requirements, stormwater, and wastewater considerations.
- Serve as the primary client-facing point of contact, ensuring project milestones and deliverables are met.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Travel locally within the Austin market and nationally approximately 20–25% of the time to job sites and client locations.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of project management experience, particularly in office, manufacturing, and laboratory environments.
- Hands-on experience with hazardous materials, H-occupancy requirements, stormwater, and wastewater management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing projects with project scopes around $500K-$2.5 million.
- Experience working with hazardous materials and code compliance requirements.
- Background from a general industrial environment.
