Talascend is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer for an opportunity in Cleveland, Ohio.
Overview
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across multiple locations within the Akron and Cleveland areas, ensuring all systems function properly and meet safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and monitor repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems for various facilities.
- Travel between multiple facilities to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
- Maintain facility services, preventative maintenance, inventory control, and contracted work.
- Calibrate, inspect, and change parts in HVAC equipment to optimize performance.
- Record system readings and make adjustments as needed to ensure proper operation.
- Follow safety policies for hazardous materials and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform regular checks of tools and inventory.
- Supervise outside contractor work, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
- Adhere to safety procedures and recognize hazards to propose elimination methods.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
- Ability to analyze operations of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and troubleshoot issues.
- EPA 608 Type II Certification.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
