Talascend is currently seeking a Project Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
The role involves coordinating engineering projects, managing project schedules, compiling status reports, and resolving technical issues to ensure the successful completion of projects. The position requires working independently and applying relevant experience and judgment in a technical setting.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering projects and ensure proper utilization of resources
- Compile project status reports and manage project schedules
- Manage project meetings and facilitate communication among stakeholders
- Identify and resolve technical problems related to projects
- Define project scope, requirements, and deliverables based on analysis
- Coordinate project activities and document all project phases properly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 4-6 years of experience in project engineering or a related area
- Proficient in Microsoft Project with hands-on experience
- Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in the field
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
