Talascend is currently seeking a Control Systems Quality Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Overview
The Control Systems Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting quality control activities within the transmission and driveline systems team, including managing project schedules, facilitating meetings, and resolving warranty-related issues to ensure vehicle system quality.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate cross-functional project meetings and compile project status reports
- Coordinate project schedules, agendas, minutes, and correspondence
- Identify and analyze system requirements, define project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders
- Lead the resolution of warranty related issues, including problem solving, validation, and weekly progress tracking
- Manage warranty claims review, sorting claims, and support reviews at quality engineering centers and manufacturing locations
- Establish and validate containment and permanent actions at supplier and Stellantis plants by reviewing product and process changes and updating control plans
- Maintain project timelines and ensure timely completion of tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Applied Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics Engineering from an accredited university
- Experience diagnosing and resolving issues related to transmission control modules, drivetrain control modules, and associated software/calibration functions
- Experience with warranty claims analysis, including triage, sorting, bucketing, trend analysis, and root cause investigations
- 1 to 2 years of experience in testing, validation, and test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, and data acquisition
- Knowledge of transmission and driveline systems and components
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel and Project
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
