Talascend is currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Flint, Michigan.

Overview

The manufacturing process engineer directs the development and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards.

Responsibilities

  • Propose and evaluate manufacturing process and equipment for assigned areas.
  • Meet plant goals and standards in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Coordinate the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment in supporting initiatives.
  • Evaluate expenditures for processes and/or equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance and training for plant operations.
  • Work closely with production and maintenance personnel and suppliers to ensure timely project completion.
  • Analyze tooling and equipment and select proper solutions.
  • Communicate with internal and external business units.
  • Support plants in achieving safety, people, quality, responsiveness, and cost goals.
  • Support and implement compliance processes like QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • 8-10 years of experience required.
