Talascend is currently seeking a Medical Device Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Madison, Wisconsin.
Overview
This role involves assembling, testing, and repairing medical device assemblies and final products in accordance with manufacturing documentation, quality standards, and medical device regulations. The position requires attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, and repair work per established work instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Perform assembly diagnosis and repair.
- Complete all required training in a timely manner.
- Maintain an organized and professional workspace.
- Notify supervisors or team leads of quality concerns.
- Train other production assemblers as needed.
- Operate within SOPs and assembly drawings.
- Communicate issues with product or equipment to quality and facilities teams.
- Assist in developing and revising SOPs, work instructions, and other quality documentation.
- Pay strong attention to detail while managing multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Comply with EHS and quality procedures, regulations, and policies.
- Work scheduled or expanded shifts, including holidays or off-shift duties as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related scientific field.
- Associate’s degree with 2+ years of experience or high school diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently and motivate staff to meet required deadlines.
- Problem-solving and process improvement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a cGMP setting and controlled documentation.
- SAP skills and experience.
- Six Sigma belt or LEAN methodology.
