Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
The role involves designing and developing electrical systems and components for aerospace applications, focusing on innovative projects in electric aircraft and eVTOL systems. The engineer will lead electrical engineering projects, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and components
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion
- Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
- Execute electrical circuit design team project tasks
- Complete assignments by applying electrical engineering methods
- Generate Bill-of-Materials (BOMs) for printed board assemblies (PBAs)
- Leverage knowledge of circuit design, circuit simulation, and analysis
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems or failures uncovered by circuit card tests
- Prepare investigations and test results to document findings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or equivalent
- Typically 12+ years working with circuit design, integration, and test experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or Resident Alien Green Card) for export compliance
