Talascend is currently seeking a Master Scheduler and Kanban Specialist for a remote, contract opportunity with our client.
Overview
This role involves structuring a master schedule of projects and programs for support on a federal program, including implementing a Kanban Board and facilitating project meetings. The specialist will support project managers and ensure documentation and compliance with organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the master project/program schedule for ISS2.
- Lead daily Kanban meetings using Project Planner cards.
- Support project managers and team members in project planning and status reporting.
- Assist in maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Coordinate meetings, document action items, follow up on outstanding tasks, and manage onboarding and suitability for the program.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an SEC Public Trust level clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12 years of IT experience, including 7-10 years leading and managing IT projects related to infrastructure, operations, and service delivery.
- Proven experience defining, creating, and managing project/program master schedules.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and conducting daily Kanban meetings.
- PMP certification or equivalent required.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Knowledge of IT project lifecycle management including scope, schedule, milestones, resource planning, and delivery.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, and changes with decision-oriented reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal civilian agency IT programs.
- Experience managing enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Implementation of service delivery improvement efforts in complex IT environments.
- Familiarity with federal IT governance and oversight models.
- Supporting delivery across technical and program teams.
- PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, or SAFe Agilist certifications.
