Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Overview
This role involves managing facilities and plant operations, overseeing regulatory compliance, safety, quality assurance, and personnel development. The Facilities Manager will serve as the single point of contact for facilities management, supporting the Regional Manager and Account Director to deliver high-quality services.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the plant operations team to ensure efficiency in maintenance, financial, safety, and regulatory compliance programs.
- Make decisions based on a thorough understanding of procedures, policies, and business practices.
- Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with the Master Services Agreement and related amendments.
- Manage financial performance related to facilities spending within established budgets.
- Track trends and recommend actions regarding KPI/SLA performance indicators for plant operations and engineering services.
- Support the delivery of maintenance, projects, and vendor activities supporting critical operations.
- Ensure staff training in proper maintenance techniques and create a safe work environment by enforcing safety and infection control policies.
- Ensure that all building systems and equipment meet state, federal, and local regulatory requirements.
- Assess compliance with standards such as NFPA101 Life Safety Code, safety management, security, hazardous materials, and waste management.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of facility management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance supervision experience.
- Management experience with proven budget and personnel responsibilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS SharePoint.
- Experience with CMMS/Work Order systems.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree in a related engineering field, formal apprenticeship program, or technical trade school.
- Certifications such as CHFM Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, CPMM Certified Plant Maintenance Manager, or CFM Certified Facility Manager.
- Experience overseeing multiple facilities with varied functions.
