Talascend is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Plano, Texas.
Overview
This role involves managing accounts receivable processes, including collections, chargeback reconciliation, and dispute resolution, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. The coordinator will work closely with various departments and clients to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and maintain healthy client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Log in to clients portal daily to review invoices and anticipated deductions
- Obtain backup information for discrepancies such as shortages, RTV, pricing, trade discounts, and freight on clients portal
- Ensure line items on the client account are properly coded for clearing and matching of chargebacks and credits in SAP
- Reconcile and resolve credit balances to avoid past due
- Provide customers with AR status updates to resolve outstanding discrepancies
- Work closely with warehouse (LPS) for claims, POD discrepancies, and chargebacks resolution
- Handle special projects assigned by management and provide weekly updates
- Interact with various departments to ensure proper workflow and escalate issues as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting, finance, business, or information systems
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a related field including accounting or finance
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies
- High attention to detail
- Diplomacy and ability to handle difficult situations tactfully
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel (V-lookup, Pivot tables, Macros preferred)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Sense of urgency and timeliness in completing tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
