Talascend is currently seeking a Product Test Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Overview
The technician will perform product and component testing, analysis, and problem-solving while developing and applying a strong understanding of appliance operations and laboratory procedures. This role involves developing, executing, and documenting test procedures, analyzing results to identify root causes, and maintaining effective communication with supervisors and related departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and document new test procedures.
- Gather information through test results and apply it to analyze problems and determine root causes.
- Perform and coordinate evaluations with direct supervision.
- Generate, analyze, communicate, and formally document test data relevant to product and component approval processes.
- Communicate results and recommendations.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors and related departments.
Qualifications
- Technical certificate, associate degree in electrical or electronics, associate degree in science, or previous laboratory experience.
- Knowledge of laboratory operations.
- Experience using personal computers and common office software.
- Basic mechanical hand-tool skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous knowledge of and experience working with washers and dryers.
- A continuous improvement and workplace organization mindset.
