A Talascend client is seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineer for their Green Hydrogen Gigafactory in Baytown, TX.  This is a Direct Hire opportunity that comes with an outstanding benefits package and bonus. Please note that, given the nature of the role, it requires an on-site presence. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineer to join our hydrogen systems manufacturing business. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that hydrogen systems products are manufactured and assembled efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with quality standards. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the successful implementation of cutting-edge hydrogen manufacturing processes at client sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this critical role, you will analyze and refine existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and boost productivity. Your expertise will drive the implementation of cutting-edge hydrogen manufacturing processes, ensuring products meet quality standards and delivery deadlines. Implement and lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as TPM, Six Sigma, and Lean. Foster a culture of innovation, troubleshoot problems, and execute corrective actions to elevate overall production efficiency.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Master’s or Bachelor's degree in engineering, typically in a relevant field such as Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Open to candidates with a mix of practical experience and some higher education, even if a formal degree is not attained.
  • 5-7 years of experience in optimizing production processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Significant experience in implementing process improvements.
  • Proficient in using engineering software and tools, with knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies. Understanding of automation and control systems, along with the ability to analyze and interpret technical data.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
