Emission Laboratory Technician
Talascend is currently seeking an Emission Laboratory Technician for an opportunity in Dearborn, Michigan.
Overview
This role involves conducting preventative maintenance, quality control, unscheduled maintenance, and repair of emission systems within a laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Test site maintenance
- Execute preventive maintenance and site repairs on a regular basis
- Assist vendor support when warranted
- Inventory consumables and spare parts necessary to maintain the operation
- Maintain daily site status log
- Support power-train emissions development, U.S. certification, homologation, and vehicle engineering problem resolution
- Support the development of new equipment and test methodologies required to meet new emissions and fuel economy requirements
- Additional assignments as necessary to deliver corporate objectives
- Cross-function as required within multiple laboratories
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience in emission laboratory maintenance and site repair
- Knowledge of basic chemistry
- Proven experience with data analysis
- Knowledge of analytical and sampling systems
- Knowledge of diesel testing process
- Ability to analyze and solve system issues
- Proven power-train experience
- Motivated/self starter
- Excellent organizational skills
- Should have ability to adjust to changing requirements
