Talascend is currently seeking a Financial Systems Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Plano, Texas.

Overview

The position will be mainly responsible for managing the SAP system support related to sales deduction modules, including data management, troubleshooting, and project coordination. The role also involves overseeing marketing and sales expenditure, training team members, reviewing programs, and resolving financial and accounting issues, with a focus on detailed expense tracking, analysis, and month-end closing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support SAP system for sales deduction modules, including troubleshooting, master data management, and user training
  • Review marketing and sales deduction activities
  • Submit accurate accruals during month-end closing
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation and sales deduction roll forward
  • Create managerial and internal reports on marketing and sales deductions
  • Evaluate reasonableness of expenditure forecasts and assist in forecasting processes
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to collect requirements, analyze data, and develop solutions aligned with business strategies
  • Support quarterly and yearly internal/external audits
  • Process and validate customer and vendor payments related to sales and marketing programs
  • Provide process training to marketing and sales teams
  • Manage projects aimed at improving marketing and sales deduction expense processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2-4 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered
  • Experience managing SAP system for at least 2 years
  • Experience in accounting and monthly closing
  • Experience with business process review, financial and operational analysis, and audits
  • Proficient with Excel; experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus
