Financial Analyst
Talascend is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Plano, Texas.
Overview
The role involves participating in financial forecasting, month-end closing, budgeting, and various ad-hoc financial and accounting duties. The position requires working independently with a thorough understanding of financial processes and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Perform 3-9 month business forecasts, including sales quantities, wholesale prices, COGS, and overhead expenses, considering business environment changes for better financial visibility
- Manage month-end closing using SAP Controlling (CO) module, monitoring revenue/COGS recognition and expense allocation across profit segments and cost centers
- Prepare and deliver various financial reports to management as needed
- Coordinate monthly inter-company transaction activities and follow-up requests to maintain proper margins for the headquarters support division
- Support other finance or administrative projects assigned by financial management, such as royalty calculations and litigation-related financial data
Qualifications
- MUST be bilingual in Korean and English.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field
- 1+ year of experience in applicable field
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial terms, potential impacts, and risks across business units
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work cross-departmentally to resolve urgent issues
- Experience in business process review and analysis, including financial and operational audits
- Proficient with Excel; SAP or other ERP system experience is a plus
