Automotive Body Shop Supervisor
Talascend is currently seeking an Automotive Body Shop Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Allen Park, Michigan.
Overview
The automotive body shop supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the shop team, ensuring quality standards, project budgets, and safety protocols are met. They will interact with team members, customers, and management to maintain efficient and effective shop performance.
Responsibilities
- Interact with and communicate with customers to resolve issues and ensure program timing, budget, and quality standards are met.
- Supervise team members including setting goals, providing guidance, and training.
- Manage employee conflict, safety incidents, and emergency situations.
- Work with internal departments to utilize available resources.
- Ensure shop equipment is maintained properly.
- Manage shop organization and clean-up, ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive body and paint, including 2 years of experience leading others formally or informally.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and good computer skills.
- Excellent knowledge of automotive body and paint and ability to operate shop equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills.
- Able to supervise, mentor, and train team members.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures.
