Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
The role involves constructing, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components, ensuring proper operation and identifying parts for replacement or repair.
Responsibilities
- Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
- Identify parts that need replacing and machines that require new parts.
- Place orders for parts as necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty.
- 2-4 years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
