CAD Drafter
Talascend is currently seeking a CAD Drafter for a contract opportunity with our client in Denver, Colorado.
Overview
The role involves completing layouts, drawing, and revising detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings using computer-aided design equipment and graphic tools such as CAD, CAM, or CATIA. The work supports structural, mechanical, electrical, or electronics design projects, focusing on producing precise documentation to facilitate manufacturing and quality improvements.
Responsibilities
- Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices
- Determine scaling, insert necessary reference planes, center and dimension lines, and perform hidden line interpolations and sectioning
- Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations
- Prepare complete production detail drawings
- Contribute design modifications to improve product quality and facilitate manufacturing operations
- Work closely with team members to achieve daily objectives and complete tasks within defined parameters
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Less than 1 year of prior relevant experience
- Moderate understanding of job requirements
