Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

Overview

Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in various fields, providing preventive maintenance services, and ensuring minimal interruption to facility operations. The role involves tasks such as repairs, installations, cleaning, and responding to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment to meet regulations.
  • Perform building-related installation and maintenance including furniture assembly, data/power installations, plumbing, and lighting repair.
  • Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of property by painting and refurbishing areas.
  • Repair, maintain, and monitor all equipment and amenities.
  • Monitor and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications.
  • Keep areas clean and organized, including cleaning dock levelers, dock bays, pressure washing building surfaces, and cleaning HVAC systems (interior and exterior).
  • Assist and respond immediately to emergency situations.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and heavy equipment for maintenance procedures and repairs.
  • Function as liaison with outside vendors as needed.
  • Communicate daily with Maintenance Supervisor and team regarding repairs, faulty operations, defective materials or parts, and incident reports.
  • Perform other projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
