Building Automation Systems Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Building Automation Systems Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Pennington, New Jersey.
Overview
The Building Automation Systems Technician is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and operating the building automation system (BAS). This role requires hands-on experience and technical proficiency to ensure optimal performance of building systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate the BAS system to ensure efficient functionality
- Troubleshoot system alarms, faults, and irregularities
- Adjust systems and controls as needed to maintain optimal performance
- Run trends and generate reports from BAS data
- Coordinate with other technical staff to resolve system problems
- Document maintenance activities and system updates
Qualifications
- Experience in a laboratory environment
- Familiarity with industrial HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Experience with BACnet protocols
- Niagara 4 (N4) certification required
- Familiarity with Siemens building automation hardware
- Familiarity with Niagara platforms
- Ability to run trends and generate reports
- Strong technical skills and problem-solving ability
- Previous experience working with BAS systems
