Talascend is currently seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.

Overview

Responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core aircraft state and/or aircraft systems monitoring and synoptics applications to be hosted on the next generation avionics platform. The role requires working with model-based systems engineering, avionics, and embedded systems in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and verify aircraft systems monitoring and synoptics applications
  • Collaborate on development and validation of systems and software requirements
  • Design using model-based systems (preferably Simulink)
  • Develop Arinc 661 graphics (preferred using Scade)
  • Work with sensors used for aircraft position and navigation (Air Data, AHRS, GPS)
  • Interface and integrate with aircraft systems such as flaps, gear, cabin pressure, and FADEC

Qualifications

  • Engineering or Computer Science degree
  • Experience in model-based systems engineering, avionics, embedded systems, and avionics
  • Knowledge of systems/software requirements development, validation, integration or verification
  • Experience working with sensors for aircraft position and navigation systems
  • Experience integrating or interfacing with aircraft systems such as flaps, gear, cabin pressure, or FADEC
