Talascend is currently seeking a Materials Management Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida.

Overview

As a materials planning analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing supply chain processes, managing inventory levels, and analyzing material requirements to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role is highly execution-oriented and requires proactive problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze material inventory position, shortages, and supply risks
  • Investigate and resolve material-related issues caused by supply disruptions
  • Monitor shortage reports, open demand, and past due materials
  • Coordinate daily with procurement, operations, engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams to understand and resolve material shortages
  • Escalate critical shortages with clear communication and recommended actions
  • Develop and maintain reports, trackers, and analysis to improve material visibility, shortage management, and operational decision making
  • Ensure execution of critical tasks to support shop performance and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in planning
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems/SAP
  • Experience in manufacturing planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (namely Excel, Access, Power BI)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-year degree
  • Ability to work independently and take direction from others
  • Established skills and experience in materials management/planning
  • Detailed-oriented, accuracy of work is critical to factory performance and customer satisfaction
  • Priority setting, sense of urgency, and timing are vital to successfully performing this role
