Materials Management Analyst
Talascend is currently seeking a Materials Management Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida.
Overview
As a materials planning analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing supply chain processes, managing inventory levels, and analyzing material requirements to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role is highly execution-oriented and requires proactive problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze material inventory position, shortages, and supply risks
- Investigate and resolve material-related issues caused by supply disruptions
- Monitor shortage reports, open demand, and past due materials
- Coordinate daily with procurement, operations, engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams to understand and resolve material shortages
- Escalate critical shortages with clear communication and recommended actions
- Develop and maintain reports, trackers, and analysis to improve material visibility, shortage management, and operational decision making
- Ensure execution of critical tasks to support shop performance and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in planning
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems/SAP
- Experience in manufacturing planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (namely Excel, Access, Power BI)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-year degree
- Ability to work independently and take direction from others
- Established skills and experience in materials management/planning
- Detailed-oriented, accuracy of work is critical to factory performance and customer satisfaction
- Priority setting, sense of urgency, and timing are vital to successfully performing this role
