Construction Project Manager
Talascend is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in San Diego, California.
Overview
This role involves overseeing tenant improvement projects within active pharmaceutical and life sciences environments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage 1–6 concurrent tenant improvement projects with values ranging from $2M to $50M
- Coordinate design, construction, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders
- Manage budgets, schedules, project reporting, and risk mitigation
- Ensure projects comply with GMP and facility regulations
- Interface with facility operations to minimize disruptions to manufacturing and laboratory activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of construction project management experience
- Strong experience managing tenant improvement projects
- Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, GMP, or biotech facilities
- Experience managing multiple concurrent capital projects

- Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities

- Occupied building renovations
- MEP-intensive construction projects
Responsibilities
- Support senior project managers with schedule updates, budget tracking, contractor communication, project documentation, status reporting, and change order tracking
- Assist with project administration for multiple concurrent tenant improvement projects
Software
- Experience with Ingenious software for project documentation and record management is beneficial
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools is preferred
