Warehouse Material Handler
Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Material Handler for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
This role involves physically handling materials within a warehouse environment, following safety guidelines, and utilizing handling equipment to move materials efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials within a warehouse or storage facility.
- Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move materials to and from aircraft, trucks, trains, and within the storage facility.
- Follow instructions and adhere to safety and warehouse guidelines.
- Learn and navigate proprietary SAP programs.
- Lift up to 35 pounds and spend the majority of the shift on your feet moving materials.
- Perform duties in accordance with established practices and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in warehouse operations or related area.
- Knowledge of standard warehouse practices and procedures.
- Must be detail-oriented and capable of following instructions precisely.
- Comfortable learning new technical systems like SAP.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
