Talascend is currently seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in El Paso, Texas.

Overview

The Assistant Facilities Manager assists in managing the daily operations of a manufacturing site, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient maintenance of the facility. The role involves overseeing technical staff, contractors, and critical systems to support GMP and FDA-regulated activities.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary liaison with the client, coordinating staff, financials, and vendors as needed for successful building operations.
  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and site inspections.
  • Respond positively and promptly to requests from client and occupants.
  • Ensure documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Plan, administer, and control budgets for contracts, equipment, and supplies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-7 years related experience required.
  • Familiarity with building systems, documentation, and administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
  • Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
