Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in El Paso, Texas.
Overview
This role involves overseeing the operational management and daily leadership of the engineering team responsible for maintaining building systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high performance of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems across multiple buildings.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, water cooling, air conditioning, boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and electrical equipment; perform preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Manage inventory levels, prepare purchase requests, and oversee contractors working within the building.
- Identify safety hazards, implement safety protocols, and ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and standards.
- Maintain all infrastructure documentation, including building drawings and compliance records.
- Train staff on maintenance procedures, safety practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure 100% uptime of machinery and systems, implementing reliability-based maintenance programs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of facility-related work experience, including leadership and supervisory roles.
- HVAC and EPA certifications are required; electrical certifications are also required.
- Knowledge of maintenance processes, construction planning, HVAC, fluid handling, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering.
- Experience with CMMS systems (specifically Corrigo), Microsoft Office 365, and other technology tools.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications as a Universal Technician for CFCs; additional certifications are a plus.
This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, mostly from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility and rotation for on-call duties including after-hours and weekends. On-call responsibilities include a minimum of 4 hours during on-call weeks.
