Talascend is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Warren, Michigan.

Overview

The role involves handling technical diagnostics and remote troubleshooting for customer calls related to energy charging equipment. The position supports customer care cases and requires technical expertise in electrical components and EV charging systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform remote diagnosis and troubleshooting using available tools
  • Provide resolution guidance for site visits to other parties
  • Create and update cases in Salesforce
  • Coordinate with logistics for parts ordering and returns
  • Lead technical escalations from service partners and advisors
  • Train other agents and support creation of training materials
  • Determine warranty status and manage claims
  • Support testing, training, and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Evidence of safety-first attitude
  • IT and Wi-Fi troubleshooting skills
  • 3+ years of experience as an electrician or working on electrical components; EV charging equipment repair/installation experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a call center or customer-facing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Salesforce
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to change
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Associate or trade degree in a related space or four years of electrical experience
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EV charging equipment repair or installation

This position will exclusively be 2nd shift (11am-8pm EST). The role is remote, with the candidate required to come onsite for the first 3 days of training.
