Talascend is currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Agent for a direct hire role with our client based in Lytle, TX.
This role is an onsite/in-office position.

Drive the comprehensive Quality Assurance and Commissioning (Cx) lifecycle for all critical infrastructure (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Controls systems) from Level 1 through Level 5. This role bridges the gap between Data Center
Engineering (DCE), the Project Manager, operations teams, and the GC to ensure the facility achieves maximum operational reliability and meets client's strict performance criteria.

Engineering (DCE), the Project Manager, operations teams, and the GC to ensure the facility achieves maximum operational reliability and meets client's strict performance criteria.
Responsibilities:
- Full-Lifecycle Cx Management: Manage and execute the project commissioning plan spanning L1 (Factory Witness Testing support), L2 (Receipt/Inspections), L3 (Pre-functional/Component testing), L4 (Functional Performance Testing), and L5 (Integrated Systems Testing/IST).
- Scripting & Documentation Review: Review, technically vet, and approve all equipment-specific commissioning scripts, test procedures, and sequence of operations submitted by the GC, vendors, and third-party testing agencies.
- Issues Log Ownership: Author, maintain, and actively drive the project Commissioning Issues Log to resolution. Facilitate daily/weekly coordination meetings with design engineers, vendors, and the GC to unblock engineering discrepancies.
- Site Execution & Witnessing: Personally witness and document critical equipment startups, electrical protection relay testing, load bank testing, and thermal scans. Lead the coordination and execution of the final L5 IST.
- Handover & Closeout Readiness: Validate that final operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals, as-built drawings, training videos, and warranty packages are complete, accurate, and formally turned over to the Company Data Center Operations (DCOps) team.
