Talascend is currently seeking an experienced LON (Long-Lead Owner Network) Buyout Lead for a direct hire role with our client based in Lytle, TX.
This role is an onsite/in-office position.
Overview:
Manage the strategic sourcing, technical alignment, production tracking, and field deployment of critical, high-value Long-Lead Owner Network (LON) materials and infrastructure. This role serves as the vital connector between Global Network Procurement, technical engineering teams, the local site PM, and the GC to secure highly volatile supply chain items.

Overview:
Manage the strategic sourcing, technical alignment, production tracking, and field deployment of critical, high-value Long-Lead Owner Network (LON) materials and infrastructure. This role serves as the vital connector between Global Network Procurement, technical engineering teams, the local site PM, and the GC to secure highly volatile supply chain items.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing & Buyout Execution: Lead the procurement strategy, allocation planning, and buyout coordination for all specialized LON equipment, interfacing directly with pre-approved global network vendors to lock in production slots.
- Technical Submittal Coordination: Manage the end-to-end technical submittal and Request for Information (RFI) lifecycle for LON infrastructure, ensuring site-specific engineering requirements are approved by Data Center Engineering and accurately fabricated by suppliers.
- Supply Chain Monitoring & Expediting: Actively track global factory manufacturing schedules, material commodity escalations, and global logistics corridors. Deploy expediting strategies to resolve factory constraints or shipping bottlenecks before they impact the site.
- Site Interface & Handoff Management: Coordinate the delicate handoff of LON materials from global logistics carriers to the local site team and the GC. Ensure appropriate site storage conditions, weatherization, and security protocols are met upon delivery.
- Inventory Control & Scope Gap Analysis: Maintain a meticulous asset and inventory tracker for all LON items. Review site construction drawings against vendor bills of materials (BOM) to identify, flag, and purchase any potential scope gaps (e.g., specialized cabling, connectors, mounting hardware).
