Talascend is currently seeking a Pressure Test Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.

Overview

This role involves performing pneumatic, hydrostatic, and hydraulic pressure tests, as well as valve testing, to ensure quality and safety standards are met. The technician will also study and record time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency and establish production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure tests, hydraulic tests, and valve testing.
  • Study and record time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency and standardize production rates.
  • Assist in maintaining safety and quality standards during testing procedures.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for testing and record keeping.
  • Work with team members to coordinate testing operations and troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform tasks in a timely and accurate manner to meet production targets.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of experience in pressure testing, hydraulic testing, or related field.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure testing, valve testing, and related procedures.
  • Ability to interpret technical procedures and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to record data accurately.
  • Good judgment and ability to perform tasks independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance measurement and efficiency improvement strategies.
  • Experience with safety standards and protocols related to pressure testing.

The shift for this role is 2nd shift (swing), Thursday through Monday, from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
