Hydraulic Pneumatic Test Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Hydraulic Pneumatic Test Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
Perform high volume, repetitive hydraulic and pneumatic high pressure testing for commercial and military precision fluid power applications. The role involves troubleshooting, following procedures, and supporting efficient production by maintaining time and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct commercial and military precision hydraulic and pneumatic high pressure testing in fluid power.
- Complete high volume repetitive testing while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Troubleshoot during testing as needed, using field experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Lift up to 35 lbs as required for job duties.
- Study and record time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency and establish a standard production rate.
- Utilize TWB for weekly time reporting.
- Support proper setup and timing for time reporting so worker hours and invoice creation are not delayed.
- May direct and lead the work of others as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen.
- High school degree or its equivalent.
- 4-6 years of experience in the field.
- Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, taking initiative to get things done.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous testing and troubleshooting experience.
Shift
Tuesday through Saturday, 2nd shift (12:30pm - 8:30pm), with OT possible.
