Test Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Test Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
This role involves high-volume, repetitive testing of commercial and military precision parts, including pneumatic and hydraulic testing in a fluid power lab. The technician will perform testing, troubleshooting, assembly, and breakdown of test stands, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume, repetitive testing of precision parts using pneumatic and hydraulic testing methods
- Perform performance and pressure testing of units
- Break down and assemble test stands
- Lift up to 35 pounds as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing processes
- Maintain accurate documentation of test results and procedures
- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and proactive problem-solving
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
Qualifications
- US Citizen required
- 4-6 years of experience in testing or related field
- Familiarity with testing concepts, practices, and procedures
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical systems preferred
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with commercial and military precision parts
- Experience in fluid power, pneumatic, or hydraulic testing environments
- Self-motivated with excellent initiative and organizational skills
The shift for this role is 1st shift, Thursday through Monday, from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.
