Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile HVAC Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Providence, Rhode Island.

Overview

This role involves operating, inspecting, and maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment in assigned facilities to ensure efficient operation, safety, and longevity of systems. The technician will perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of building systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities.
  • Perform inspections and repairs to interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, and lighting.
  • Perform ongoing preventive and repair work orders on facility systems and components.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC/R systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, and related grounds and production equipment.
  • Study and familiarize with equipment and proper methods for use in daily activities.
  • Conduct facility inspections and report conditions impacting occupancy and operations.
  • Submit P-card receipts daily and update work order statuses in real-time.
  • Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Be available for call-in work and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
  • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering, HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or supermarket refrigeration systems.
  • Good driving record and ability to store vehicle at residence.
  • Ability to perform call-in work and other duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing CMMS (Work Order) systems.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
  • Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC.
