Talascend is currently seeking a Project Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Reno, Nevada.

Overview

This role involves managing multiple capital projects, including small facility remodels and asset replacements, with a focus on safety, time management, and communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support project executives on multiple projects and assignments
  • Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects
  • Identify and address potential risks related to project scope, logistics, and budget
  • Coordinate and track all vendor requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
  • Prepare and update project status reports, process invoices, and maintain project files
  • Track project performance against schedules and critical path
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities and relocation of technical functions
  • Ensure projects meet client and safety requirements in a cost-effective manner
  • Assist in meeting regional and national gross margin targets
  • Proficiency in project development technology as required
  • Travel to project locations as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management
  • Experience in project management or construction management
  • Ability to prepare and track budgets
  • Understanding of technical requirements for construction and renovation projects
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in fast-paced or independent environments
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Familiarity with architectural and engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project experience in biopharma, research, labs, or vivarium
  • LEED, AIA, PE, and/or PMP certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
