Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Distribution Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Overview

This role involves planning, engineering, and designing electric and gas distribution systems, ensuring the effective development of power delivery infrastructure while balancing various constraints and reliability needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop work packages for overhead, underground residential distribution, and underground cable/conduit projects
  • Conduct field engineering of project requirements
  • Identify conflicting utilities and perform engineering and design calculations
  • Participate in post-construction reviews
  • Support day-to-day project objectives and assist other technical staff as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with less than 2 years of experience
  • Working knowledge of standards, principles, and techniques related to electrical distribution systems
  • Ability to address technical issues using best practices and collaborate with colleagues
  • Effective communication skills across various teams
