Senior Process Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Chandler, Arizona.
Overview
The Senior Process Engineer will lead the process engineering discipline within the manufacturing and technology sector, supporting project execution, technical coordination, and interface management for semiconductor process systems. This role requires expertise in industry standards, design practices, and quality standards specific to the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of process engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on large projects.
- Review work products for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate day-to-day technical activities for the process engineering scope, including alignment with other teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to upper management.
- Contribute to work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with client representatives to obtain approval of process engineering aspects.
- Provide input to and participate in technical training programs.
- Evaluate subcontractors' work for conformance to design intent and schedule.
- Foster a work environment that promotes openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
- Mentor staff and provide guidance and direction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.
- 10 - 13 years of relevant experience or 14 - 17 years of relevant work experience.
- Professional engineering license or the ability to obtain registration preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor industry process systems including gases, chemicals, water purification, and waste treatment.
- Experience supporting engineering deliverables through procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable standards such as ASME, ANSI, API, CGA, SEMI, and ISO.
- Strong client-facing communication and issue-resolution skills.
- Ability to organize priorities and manage competing deadlines.
- Ability to influence without direct authority across matrixed teams.
