Talascend is currently seeking a Project Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

Overview

This role involves managing multiple capital projects, including small facilities remodeling and asset replacement, with a focus on ensuring project timelines, budgets, and safety standards are met. The project manager will coordinate with various stakeholders and oversee day-to-day project activities across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Support project executives on multiple projects and assignments
  • Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects
  • Identify and address potential risks regarding project, logistical issues, budget, and scope
  • Coordinate and track all vendor request for proposals (RFPs)
  • Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
  • Prepare and update project status reports, process invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence and financials
  • Actively track project performance against schedules and critical path
  • Coordinate activities of subcontractors and relocation of technical functions
  • Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure safety plans are in place and activities are performed with a safety-first approach
  • Assist the local project development team in meeting gross margin targets
  • Utilize project development technology as required for assigned projects
  • Travel to project locations as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management
  • Experience in project management or construction management
  • Ability to prepare and track budgets
  • Understanding of technical requirements for construction and renovation projects
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Familiarity with architectural and engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project experience in biopharma, research labs, or vivarium environments
  • LEED, AIA, PE, and/or PMP certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
