Warehouse Associate
Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
This role involves confirming and recording shipments, preparing items for shipping, managing inter-departmental transport of materials, and assisting with loading and unloading trucks. The position requires hands-on physical work and familiarity with shipping procedures.
Responsibilities
- Confirm and record receipt of shipments
- Prepare items for shipping and report damages or discrepancies
- Manage inter-departmental transport of materials
- Complete shipping and receiving reports
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Perform tasks that involve lifting over 30 lbs. and significant physical activity
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Preferred skills include packing experience, computer skills (email and Excel proficiency), and forklift experience
- Familiar with shipping and receiving procedures
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to perform tasks
