Talascend is currently seeking a Laboratory Chemist for a contract opportunity with our client in Janesville, Wisconsin.
Overview
This role involves performing daily analytical work in a laboratory environment, supporting lab and site interactions, and adjusting objectives as needed to address analytical challenges. The chemist should be proficient with analytical instruments and capable of summarizing results effectively in written reports.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily analytical tests and support laboratory operations
- Utilize systems such as OpenLab CDS and various analytical instruments including GC, LC, FT-IR/NIR, TGA/DSC, and Metrohm Titrators
- Adjust analytical objectives based on encountered problems and support troubleshooting
- Learn and operate new analytical systems as required
- Prepare and summarize analytical results in detailed written reports for various audiences
- Maintain precise documentation of all analytical procedures and results
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field preferred
- At least 2 years of laboratory analytical experience
- Proficiency with analytical instruments such as GC, LC, FT-IR/NIR, TGA/DSC, and Metrohm Titrators
- Strong ability to adapt to new systems and tools
- Excellent written communication skills
