Talascend is currently seeking a Mechanical Equipment Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
This role involves constructing, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. The technician will identify parts for replacement, order necessary parts, and perform inspections to ensure proper functioning.
Responsibilities
- Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
- Identify parts for replacement and machine issues requiring new parts.
- Order parts as necessary to support maintenance operations.
- Work under immediate supervision, following instructions and established guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in the field or related area.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a mechanical maintenance environment.
- Ability to perform duties through relevant experience, training, or education.
