Talascend is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Picayune, Mississippi.
Overview
This role requires a strong accounting clerk with enterprise-level ERP proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, to support transactional processing, month-end close activities, and general ledger reconciliation within a large business environment.
Responsibilities
- Navigate and process core financial modules within the system, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash and Bank Management
- Work with vendor invoice journals, non-PO invoices, customer payment journals, and post daily sub-ledger transactions
- Apply Financial Dimensions and account segments for accurate department or job costing
- Execute or review invoice matching, ensuring purchase orders, product receipts, and vendor invoices align
- Process high volumes of transactions with accuracy and assist in period-close routines by ensuring journals are posted and cleared
- Research and resolve vendor billing discrepancies, price variances, or payment issues within the ERP platform
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to upload journals and analyze data exported from D365
- Manage digital documents, attachments, and EDI processes within the system
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (highly preferred)
- Typically, 3+ years of dedicated accounting experience
- At least 1-2 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 F&O in a medium to large-scale environment
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
