Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Denver, Colorado.

Overview

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and facilities. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to support the smooth operation of the facilities and ensure safety and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts, rekey doors, and cut keys while maintaining key logs.
  • Assist the operations team in building and equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general interior maintenance tasks, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems.
  • Handle minor plumbing repairs.
  • Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
  • Assist with moving office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and comply with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Adhere to compliance with state, county, or city ordinances, codes, and laws.
  • Follow policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Document work performance and materials procurement as required.
  • Perform other operational tasks typical of the Maintenance Mechanic role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
  • Ability to rekey doors and cut new keys for the buildings in the area.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to comply with policies and procedures established by the employer and the client.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Must complete background and drug testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable.
